As you may know, the majority of residents in the floating villages earn their living by fishing the Tonle Sap. Depending on the time of year, they catch shrimp, small fish, water snails or clams. If you are interested in learning about fishing in the Tonle Sap this is the tour for you! We will depart from Siem Reap at your preferred time (10am is recommended) and make our way to Kompong Khleang. City Tour

Conservation d'Angkor (admission) Angkor Conservation is a Ministry of Culture compound that houses more than 5000 statues, lingas (phallic symbols) and inscribed stelae, stored here to protect them from the wanton looting that has blighted hundreds of sites around Angkor.

Countryside Tour

The drive commences immediately after breakfast (between 7/8am). We proceed south to Wat Prin and stop to inspect a modern wat built atop an old stone base for an ancient monument that was once surrounded by moats. A little further, we pause by Wat Laok to view an earlier main hall, with faded but beautiful 19th-to early 20th century wooden architecture.

Museums

One of the best experiences that you should have in Siem Reap is to visit the great Angkor National Museum in Cambodia. It’s filled with different artifacts and proofs of the early civilization in Cambodia. There is a great time exploring the beauty and uniqueness of each artifact as each resembled the unique way of living of early inhabitants (Khmer Civilization). As you continue with your tour in the museum, you will be able to know various beliefs and religions that you manage to understand as you pr ogress with the tour.

Performing Arts

Recommendations for Cambodian evening performances Experience both (if time permits) as contrasting theatrical events that come highly recommended by hotel management.

Arts & Crafts

We suggest you put aside a day for shopping so that you can visit the old markets in town as well as the boutiques (and cafés). Start your shopping adventure by visiting Viroth's own Oko Gallery, located directly across the street from Viroth's Hotel. It is filled with beautiful and exotic products that will serve as reminders of your time in Cambodia.
